Event Details

Join the r@*iHub_ research team for a workshop on qualitative research basics this Friday (May 13th) from 2 - 4 pm. The workshop will be lead by Angela Crandall, currently conducting research in Kenya on a 10-month Fulbright Research Fellowship. Angela has experience working with the World Bank's infoDev Climate Technology Program and has also been involved in corporate outreach to engage businesses in dialogue on sustainability at the World Wildlife Fund. Angela has a degree in international environment and development issues from Georgetown University. Qualitative research focuses on the why and how questions to understand more than just whatwherewhen.

During this workshop, we will cover the foundations of research including variables, hypotheses, and types of data. We will focus on research design and briefly explore some analysis methods (and various available analysis software). A list of reference materials and additional resources will also be distributed.

Please note that there is an attendance cap of 20 people.
